Do Gooders

Titus

This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone. Titus 3:8

A general lack of respect or regard for others seems to be common behavior in today's world. In other words, it seems acceptable to put others down, belittle or ridicule them, disregard their feelings, or to refuse to help those in need. This means of conduct is evident not only in our day-to-day lives but is displayed through various forms of media such as movies, news programs, and social media. We are routinely bombarded with these attitudes on a daily basis.

We live in a culture that exalts sin and despises God. And as Christians we seemingly are being challenged more and more either directly or indirectly by nonbelievers much like Titus and the believers in Crete. But in spite of these challenges Paul reminded us of how God's grace changed our own lives once we became followers of Christ. It is because of this transformation that we must excel in good works that display God's grace through us. No matter what kind of circumstances we face, we must set a good example and continue to live Godly lives in the hope that our actions will help others come to Christ.
